marigold

Mar 18 2012

through the processes of painting marigold has come to know what was meant about chipping away stone not belonging to the body hidden in the block. that was about david i think. because it has stopped being about depicting her own thoughts or desires or anything from within and instead has become about the compulsive imperative of discovering her subject with perhaps the artistic and sensory apparatus which life had fashioned her for as the inescapable intermediary lens. and this is what it means to give her self to her art; to lose her self.

marigold isn’t even her real name.
